Your clients are as unique as your business. That’s why a one-size-fits-all approach just won’t do when it comes to creating your marketing database.

At Shortlist Marketing, we understand data. And, crucially, we understand how it impacts the success of your lead generation and direct marketing campaigns. With the right database, you’ll save time, money and effort by ensuring you only target those who are likely to buy from you.

We’ll work with you to fully understand your data needs, before recommending which of our services will help you achieve your goals. And this comes with our unique 12-month data guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

Questions that we have answers to

How do you guarantee your data?

If any of the email addresses we provide bounce, or any of the phone calls don’t get through, simply return the data to us within 12 months of receiving it. We’ll cleanse it, free of charge, and either provide you with the current details for the contact or find a new contact for you.

Is your database GDPR compliant?

Yes. We will always work with our clients to ensure they are within any relevant regulations. By ensuring the data is produced in line with your Privacy Policy, we make sure it is GDPR compliant.

Do you rent us your data?

Unlike other companies that lease the data to you for a 12-month period before requiring it back, we transfer the ownership of the database to you. That way, you can use it how and when you like (as long as it’s in line with current regulations).

Where does your data come from?

Each database we create is unique to that particular client, based on their requirements. We don’t hold any data ourselves; instead, we source the data from public domains. This may include Companies House, LinkedIn and business websites, though will also include telephone research to verify that we are providing you with the correct email addresses and phone numbers.

Will you sell our data to my competitors?

No. We transfer the ownership of the data to you, so we wouldn’t have the rights to sell it to your competitors. Besides, we pride ourselves on creating unique data sets that match the exact requirements of each of our individual clients.

We delete all databases from our servers after 12 months, in line with our GDPR policy.

What are your minimum and maximum orders for data?

Nope. Our data services are bespoke and tailored to your requirements, so we don't have a minimum or maximum!

I need data for Account-Based Marketing (ABM), can you help?

Absolutely! Our data services for ABM will make sure you're getting through to the right people with the right data, no matter how specific.

I don't know if I need extra data or not, can you help?

Yes, we can! Shortlist offer expert data counts and audits to help you understand your data by:

1. Identifying the most-likely buyers for your products and services right now
2. Uncovering the cleanness, quality, and relevancy of your current target data
3. Finding out what percentage of your target data you currently have.
4. Understanding the legality of your current data — Including GDPR, PECR, Data Protection Act, TPS, and CTPS.
5. Clarifying if you need to start from scratch or if you just need to tidy up what you already have.
